In addition to the physical product, purchasing the La Pierre d'éternité set grants you access to a personal online memorial space. You can access this space without any additional subscription.
Who can add content to the commemorative page?
La Pierre d’éternité is delivered with unique login credentials. These consist of a personal and unique URL address along with a password. The individual holding these credentials, referred to as the administrator, can
- Create or fill in the commemorative space
- Decide who can see the space (public or private mode)
- Accept or reject content that other users want to add (new memory, message of sympathy, etc.)
Can there be more than one administrator?
The unique login credentials can be used by multiple individuals, allowing several administrators to collaborate in managing the same space.
Can I restrict access to the content?
Yes, you have the option to restrict access to your space within La Pierre d'éternité using the "public" or "private" privacy levels:
- "Public" Privacy Level: If you choose this level, the information will be accessible to anyone who brings their phone into contact with La Pierre d'éternité or visits the website lapierredeternite.com. This means the information will be available to the general public.
- "Public" Privacy Level: If you choose this level, the information will be accessible to anyone who brings their phone into contact with La Pierre d'éternité or visits the website lapierredeternite.com. This means the information will be available to the general public.
- - If someone wants to access your space by placing their phone in contact with the memory stone La Pierre d'éternité, the administrator receives a connection request. The administrator can either approve or decline this request. If the request is approved, the person will receive a password valid for 6 months. A new request will need to be made after this 6-month period.
- -If, as an administrator, you wish to share information from your private space with someone, you can provide them with the unique and personal URL associated with your space. When that person tries to access it, they'll need to request a password. You'll receive a request that you can either accept or decline. How many times can I update the content?
You are free to update the information as many times as you like, without any restrictions on the number of updates you can make. You can supplement, modify, and access the content as needed. There are no limits on the number of users, data volume, or duration.
What is an NFC chip and how does it work?
NFC (Near Field Communication) is a technology that enables communication between any two devices. You almost certainly already use this technology for contactless payment with your bank card or mobile phone. The advantage of this technology is that no apps are required. The two devices simply need to be close to each other. NFC technology is known for its short-range capabilities, typically requiring a distance of 4 cm or less to establish the connection.
La Pierre d’éternité contains a hard-wearing, watertight NFC chip. Place your mobile phone or tablet near your memory stone to access the private and secure commemorative page.
How can I know whether my device is NFC-compatible?
Most current mobile devices such as phones and tablets are NFC-compatible. Go to the settings on your device and type "NFC" into the search field. If necessary, activate "Use NFC".
I don't have any device compatible with NFC. How do I access the commemorative space?
The commemorative space can be found using any internet browser. Simply enter the unique URL address or go directly to www.lapierredeternite.com.
What services are included?
La Pierre d'éternité allows you to record and share photos and videos, create your family tree, light a virtual candle, write a message of sympathy, and geolocate the burial site of the deceased. We regularly add new features; visit our website www.lapierredeternite.com to stay informed about the latest updates.
How does the burial geolocation function work?
To indicate the location of the burial place, take a photo of it from the La Pierre d’éternité portal. This automatically records the GPS coordinates. GPS location does not depend on the location of your memory stone. You can keep the memory stone in your home and still use this feature to indicate the location of the burial place. This allows linking the resting place of your loved one to his commemorative space on La Pierre d'éternité, regardless of where theLa Pierre d'éternité is physically located.
How do I attach La Pierre d’éternité?
We recommend using a strong adhesive or tile glue.
Where do I place La Pierre d’éternité?
The 'La Pierre d’éternité' locket can be placed on a burial site or in any location that embodies the memory of a loved one.
We recommend putting it somewhere that is easy to reach so that people can place their smartphone near it. NFC technology allows the connection, usually requiring a distance of 4 cm or less to establish the connection.
